On being a teacher

Marnel, one of my good friends, and a former seminary companion, has a splendid blog entry on being a teacher.

Here is my rejoinder:

I recall telling the first group of high school students I handled, it was already six years ago, that the most they could do to show how appreciate me as a teacher is to become teachers themselves.

This year, as they wrapped up their college years, two are heeding my invitation to teach. I heard that one of them is already teashing at the Science Department of DLSU and the other one is considering a teaching post at the Philosophy Department in UP.

Teaching is not only a noble profession, it's fun-filled.

May it be inside the classroom...

.. or even outside!
