Our Lady of Guadalupe

Today is the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe. In our Mass this morning, Fr. Wilbert told us that the Guadalupe title of the Blessed Mother is the patroness of the whole archdiocese of Cebu and not Sto. Nino. Last saturday, departing from the jubilee Mass of Br. Carlo, we proceeded to the Redemptorist Church in which the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe is enshrined. The church was big.
The sanctuary was majestic.

The place was filled with flowers.
I offered an Ave Maria before ourLady. I recall praying for the intentions of my mom.

The sky was blue, the color of Mary.
Our pilgrimage did not stop there. We went to the langub (cave) in which the image of the Lady was hidden during the second world war.

The cave was a good 10 minute walk from the church. When we asked for directions, the people discouraged us to go there because the bridge was out of order. Good thing, Fr. Wilbert decided to go on.

Sacks of soil and gravel became a makeshift bridge. It was such an adventure. We finished concluded the pilgrimage througha photo op!
