Trip to Rome and France for free!

The Salesian Congregation turns a hundred and fifty years old next year and to spice up the celebration, the Department of Social Communication is organizing a competition to choose the logo for the upcoming celebrations. Please check the details below:

All those who wish to take part, aged 18 and above, can send in their proposal :

- before Saturday 15 November 2008 to sdb150@sdb.org

The logo should be in colour in graphic digital format. A jury will choose a final set to be presented to the Rector Major. The one selected will be used in the official publicity for the various celebrations planned by the Generalate and proposed to the various Provinces.

The prize for the winner will be :

- a pilgrimage to the Salesian special places in - Rome, Piedmont and Annecy

- travel, food and lodging all covered,

- and if desired, a week of experience spent with the members of the team of the Rome Department for Social Communication.

All the contributions sent in to the Department will be published in a special section of sdb.org.

“It is an idea we wanted to launch to involve Salesians, but not only them, in feeling closer to this great event which we shall shortly be celebrating,” says Fr Filiberto González Plasencia, Councillor for Social Communication. “The Salesian world has always been creative in all sorts of ways, so I am sure that this time it will not fail to amaze us.”
