Blog prayer brigade for the coming elections

I'm not a big fan of blogging brigade, but receiving a marching order from Br. Utoy to do something for the upcoming synchronized national elections--and because a have a great admiration for the men in cloth--I feel obliged doing it.

The task is not really difficult. I just need to write and publish a prayer for the elections, make an oath “to recite the prayer, which I wrote, in my own convenient time and regularly as possible until the 2010 Presidential Election commences” (I’m sorry, but I find this rather slushy), and finally, tag seven other bloggers to do the same.

And as Fr. Eli, our Provincial, would say "English is the language of instruction, but Filipino is the language of persuasion," let me write my prayer in my native tounge.

Here’s the Prayer

Amang Diyos namin,
pinili Mo ang aming bansang
itaguyod ang Iyong Mabuting Salita.
Hinihiling namin na maging huwaran kami
ng aming mga kalapit bansa sa Asya
sa pamamagitan ng pagdaraos ng isang
matapat, malinis, at mapayapang halalan.

Amen.

...the Oath

I, Donnie Duchin E. Duya,

of the Blog Prayer Brigade for the election of the Future President
of the Republic of the Philippines

and I do solemnly promise to recite the prayer,
which I wrote, in my own convenient time
