Today, we celebrate the feast of our Lord’s transfiguration.
Our gospel reading today details how the apostles Peter, John and James witnessed the transformation of Jesus while he was praying: “His face was changed, and his clothing became a dazzling white.” Prophets even appeared and talked to him.
However, the point of this account in the life of Jesus is not to lose ourselves in fascination with this seemingly magical event; but it invites us to foretaste the glory that awaits us when we meet the Father in the rightful time.
