Your presence in our soul

I was struck by the last stanza of the vespers hymn (Sunday, Evening Prayer II, p. 566) last night.
Remember us, poor mortal men,
We humbly ask, O Lord,
And may your presence in our souls,
Be now our great reward.
Text: Christe qui Lux es et Dies

For somebody who strives to follow Christ, nothing really matters but to be united with Him. The rest is merely secondary.
Let this be my prayer for the coming days, as I witness the changing of the liturgical season.
